Tis the Season, and we're still jolly! |

Bantam1 Provincials, July 12 Windsor After going 5-0 in the round robin & finishing first in our pool, Guelph Electri Tech Bantam 1 Gators finally succumbed to the left handed pitching ace from Brampton(who should have finished 1st in their pool but didn’t), losing 5-1 in the semi finals. This precluded a trip to the Nationals with only the tournament top two teams – Kitchener & Brampton, as well as host Oakville attending from Ontario, but we still managed a very respectable 3rd place finish for the all first year girls. Lindsay Butler captured the Tournament Top Batter honours with some very impressive statistics. Even though the season is over, there is one more tournament to go in Buffalo N.Y. (Aunt Rosie’s) July 17-19 where the girls can still have their Canadian pride shine through. All the best to the other teams still competing. |

Bantam Gators Discover America (is not so tough) ! |

Columbus, Ohio - June 12-14 The Electric-Tech Bantam Gators were 8 - 0 over the weekend. Game 8 was to be our championship showdown as the Pittsburgh Spirit were also 7-0; the actual championship game was to be played at 5:00pm Sunday for the top place team in each of two pools. Not wanting to arrive home at 4:00am Monday morning, we wisely chose to have the 8th game as our final! |
